Agglomerated coffee is essentially spray dried powder that has been specially processed to yield a form that is more readily dissolved in water.
Agglomerated coffee is manufactured in much the same manner as conventional spray dried, with an additional steam belt or steam curtain process applied to bind the spray dried particles together, converting them to larger, "agglomerated" clusters.
Agglomerated coffee is preferred by some consumers due to the aesthetic appeal of its larger clusters and its convenient, fast-dissolving property.
